The plasterers turned up last week seen below- Mike and Mike's dad. They have done a great job and we now have the entire top floor plastered!

The results are looking really good and are drying well. Which means its time for me to think about some painting. Scheduled for next weekend.
The picture above shows the really nice cedar cladding detail on the outside windows reveals. Showing shadow gaps between planks and on the mitre joint as well. We are very pleased with the way Zac and Tommy have done such a nice job on the cladding, its a great feature.
Looking into the master bedroom and dressing room and ensuite beyond from the balcony.
Pictures like this make me want to leave the bare plaster as is it looks so good. Seems a shame to paint it.
This shows where the stairs will be rising following the diagonal before turning 90 degrees to the left and continuing to the landing. The full height in this area with skylight is already looking really good.
Downstairs is almost ready for plastering and looking much more like a room. Since Michael has returned from holiday and a new broom has been purchased the site is looking quite respectable again. We definitely missed Michael while he was enjoying the French Rivera. Progress has seemed to jump on again too.
Finally a little mock up of the front of the balcony to get an idea of how it will look. We are currently waiting on more timber to complete the front.
Coming up:
* Zac finishing of window reveals on the cladding and capping on parapet
* Chris is back on site next week to fit the baths and remaining shower tray ahead of tiling starting on 2/11
* Scaffolding down on N/E and W faces to allow the plasterers to start the lime render to first floor
* Plastering downstairs
* Preparation to reconnect the building to the power grid the following week. Let there be light and all that...
